Hey everyone! Thanks for all the great work so far submitting incredible pics here. As you probably know, the original idea behind this subreddit was to share great pictures and have them survive on their own without the benefit of a sob backstory or some witty headline.However, it's been a while now and we're still far, far behind the number of subscribers /r/pics has. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. So, our new plan is to outdo /r/pics by having only sob stories here.Please continue to post great pictures, but remember to make the headline a sob story. We need views and upvotes, people! The rest of our rules regarding quality of submissions (no wtf absurdity, etc.) still apply. Also, we can't verify the truth of every sob story you put in the headline, so please try not to lie, embellish or otherwise mislead about the photo.Here are some examples in case you're not used to gaming the system:My 96-year old Gulf War vet grandfather just passed away.
