My Uncle Charlie before WW2, on his front porch in Centralia, Pennsylvania. He went on to fight in both the European and Pacific Theaters of the war and died of complications from malaria upon coming home. His home in Centralia’s gone too; it’s a casualty of the mine fire burning there since 1962.
