I get paid to eat and write about food and drinks in New Orleans. AMA!

http://ift.tt/1auBo5W, Reddit! My name is Todd Price and I’m the dining writer for NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune in New Orleans. I spend my days eating, drinking and writing about food in this city. New Orleans. Probably the best city in America to eat and drink. And yes, I know that I'm damn lucky to have a job like this.I mainly cover restaurant news (openings, closings, and sometimes more dramatic happenings), early reviews of restaurants and longer features on why eating in this city matters so much to us (it’s pretty much our favorite topic of conversation around here).I started as a freelance food writer in 2004, shortly after I moved to town and not long before Katrina hit (my timing has always been bad). I’ve been the food critic for the alt-weekly, the city magazine and a local editor for both Zagat and Fodor’s. After fives years as the freelance drinks writer at NOLA.com | The Times-Picyaune (good times), as was hired full time in 2013 as a dining writer.I post my stories here, and hang out in our very active Facebook group full of New Orleans foodies here. You'll also see me make some appearances on the Where NOLA Eats YouTube channel. On Twitter, I’m @tprice504Proof
